This oil pan is the perfect addition for the street/track build, high-horsepower street car, or track-focused Mustang build. A factory replacement for GT500's and an OEM-Plus upgrade for Mustang GT's, you cannot go wrong with preparing and protecting your Mustang with this kit.
In order to prepare your Mustang for adding forced induction like superchargers, turbochargers, or nitrous, this kit includes a high-output oil pump that came in the 5.2L supercharged Predator engine. If you plan on going to the track or autocrossing your Mustang the baffles and trap doors in this pan help keep the oil where your Mustang needs it to prevent oil starvation and guard your engine.
When accelerating fast, cornering hard, and braking hard the oil in the oil pan will move to one side and may not be picked up by the oil pickup tube. Over time, this increases wear on the engine and leads to internal engine damage. The baffles, windage tray, pickup tube, oil pan design, and more work together in this kit to keep your engine lubricated correctly so that you can race with peace of mind.
When it comes to cooling this upgrade will give you a double win. Not only will you have a larger amount of oil in the system, (meaning it will take longer to heat up) but also the aluminium pan construction will dissipate heat much better than the plastic OEM pans.
Finally as the pan comes with a new separate additional feed, track users can run a catch can that feeds directly back to the oil pan.
