Steeda was very happy to be involved in a couple of great events in this VERY event free 2020, courtesy of the great team at Michelin and Ford.
We had told our European tyre partner Michelin that the first UK based Steeda Steve McQueen limited edition Bullitt had been completed by Sandicliffe Ford just before the inaugural Goodwood Speedweek, and Michelin were kind enough to invite us along and went on to create a lovely "Triple Play" clip, to honour the theme of the Goodwood Speedweek of "Past, Present and Future".
The clip featured Michelin partner and race driver Olli Webb's own personal classic Eleanor GT500,repping the past, youtuber and hypercar specialist MrJWW in the Steeda Steve McQueen limited edition Bullitt repping peak present Mustang performance and the all new Ford Mustang Mach One which was revealed at Goodwood as a "future" European car. This "future car" was driven by Vicki Butler Henderson, who represents both Michelin and Ford as an ambassador so the perfect candidate for the job!
Below: Grabbing a sneak peak at the pre-reveal Mach One.....
It was a real last minute scramble to get it all together and big thanks to Ford for coordinating with Michelin to get it done and create a spectacular opening to what what a spectacular weekend, which also featured the all new Mach-E and Ford performance Mach-E 1400.
Enjoy the video!
Following up straight after the Goodwood "Triple Play" Michelin displayed the Steeda Steve McQueen limited edition Bullitt on their stand at the Donnington Secret Super Car Meet, which featured a tremendous turnout and a frankly jaw dropping array of cars.
But we think with its looks, heritage, handling, power and exclusivity, the Steve McQueen edition more than held its own. Here it is alongside another car on the Michelin stand the Callum 25, a "restomod" type limited edition Aston "re-envisioned" by David Callum the original designer, and in a tiny run of only 25 units.
But for £500,000 and with less power and we'd bet less capable handling, we think it makes the Steve McQueen edition look like even more incredible value! After all there are currently only around 6 Steeda Steve McQueen editions in Europe!
The Callum chose the same tyres as Steeda Europe and we know that the best, choose the best! Thanks Michelin!
And here's VBH putting the Steeda Steve McQueen AND its phat rear 305/35/20 Pilot Sport 4S tyres to good use! - Click to view video on Vicki's instagram....
